Love. Care. Feeling;
Are not just words
But have a deep meaning
Which is meant to be felt
You are a person who knows it
That’s why you care and love us.

You stay far far away
But every time we meet
Your love has manifold increased
Never compromising on our happiness
You take avid interest in gifts you buy
And shower your love on us.

You show your intense love
By giving me variety of clothes
That’s how my wardrobe is full of you
I feel proud to fit in your own outfits
And that’s my love for you.

You fill my life with love, laughter
Happiness and the warmth of sunshine
Kudos to the best Masi I ever got in my life
Missing you today in every moment

Happy birthday Masi

There Can Be None Like You

17798960_1879958092293470_127158455735049690_nBy- Rishika Ghai

Not every person can secure
A special place in any one’s heart
But some people,
Have the power to do just that.
By your behaviour, speech and kindness
Sir, you are one of those kinds.

The first time I met you
I became your die hard fan
My heart called out to me,
That this is the one,
Who is to be called
A real teacher and a true principal.

I have ever seen the person like you
Who always leads from the front
Who can go to any length
To make student’s future bright and secure
Who has the power to change
The Perspective of a school all alone.

You are just like a coconut
Hard from outside and soft from inside
Yet, always there by our side.
You are a wonderful guide
That a student can have.

Like a needle in a haystack
Like a pearl in the ocean
A person like you is hard to find.
While having faith in your students
You inspire and motivate us in every possible way
Which only allows us to love you more.

At last, to the world’s best teacher
And a great principal that
I have ever met
I raised a toast…
Happy Birthday to you, Sir.

Self Dependent

Wheelchair Painting

By- Rishika Ghai

Self dependence:
Now a recognized attribute in
Differently abled people
As they have changed their perspective
In the eyes of people.

They don’t need sympathy
Neither help and support to live
Its unjust and unfair of people
To assume otherwise
They can do everything on their own.

But nowadays we ‘The Normal People’
Behave and act more like handicaps
Searching for other people
To get our work done or
By depending on machines.

Instead of teasing, making fun
Sympathizing with or pitying them
We should endeavor
To learn from them
How to be independent on our own.

God has created
Every person complete
In his or herself
All we need is faith in your willpower
And we can achieve everything we want.

It’s best to remember…
It’s better to be a
Self dependent person
With self respect intact
Than to be a burden on anyone.

My Loveable Devil

The naughty glitter in your eyes
Reflect that what’s in your mind
Though the less you speak
Shows you are up to some mischief.

Though you are cute and I Love you so
You never miss an opportunity
To tease me and irritate me
Whenever you get the chance

Sometime I don’t like your behavior
And I fight with you also
But when later I come around
I realise that you do this to get my attention.

You always want what I have
Not because you like it
But as it is the right of siblings
To snatch what the other have.

These things are a sign of true love
Of a brother’s love for his sister
He will always fight, tease, irritate
But also save and shield her from dangers…

From my perspective
The best combination of siblings
Are Brother and sister. But they understand
Each other importance only after they are separated.

Accept the Challenges

Life is full of ups and down
Learn to adjust according to it
Never allow your problems
To spoil your happiness.

***

What some people do is
They think of their problems all the time
And destroy the happiest moments of their life
They forget… that time never comes back.

***

Some people stay in groups with friends
But sound and act weird
When ask what happened
They give a lukewarm response.

***

As they are thinking of their problems
And not enjoying with friends
Also not allow others to enjoy
As they forever try to seek attention

***

Don’t to show off. Drop your attitude
Learn to face challenges head-on
Don’t allow problems to take over your life
And try to enjoy every moment of life.

Belonging to an Army background
Let me warn you…Our life is not stable
As we keep on moving
Place by place and meet new people.

***

Recognizing and understanding
Different people and staying at various places
Is difficult but at the same time quite interesting
As we get to know our Nation and its citizens.

***

That how exactly our lifestyle is
Staying in a place for two years
And then shift to another. But that’s enough
To know, how each place and its people are.

***

Though some people said that
‘Postings affect our child’s future’
As a result, they stay separated
But I and my mother proved them wrong.

***

I kept on moving to various places with my father.
That’s how I completed my schooling
By studying in various schools, because my mother decided
That separated we will never be as we are; A Family.

***

Thanks to God that he helped keep us together.
One thing that posting taught me is
The power of making new relationships and adjusting in new places.
And so I love travelling around the world.

Be Happy

happy-children1

By-Rishika Ghai

In life
Staying happy
Is not a big deal
Anyone can be happy
And stay happy.

***
We don’t need
Any reason
To find happiness
Because it’s everywhere
We just have to feel it.
 ***
Staying happy
Solves most of our problems
Troubles and tensions
Vanish automatically but unfortunately
This is the one thing that people are forgetting nowadays.
***
Instead of charging your mobile batteries
And worrying about internet connectivity
Or broadcasting status on social media
Indulge in little pleasure of life
And bring happiness back in your lives.
***
Forget all the worries
Life is a beautiful gift of god
Try to fill it with happiness
And laugh and smile a lot
Whenever possible.

My Yellow WagonR

16299199_1845228882433058_4189729317571095818_n
By- Rishika Ghai
When I was in class one
We bought a new car
A yellow WagonR
Its been 13 years now
And we still have this car
So many memories attached to it
It gets me all nostalgic.
***
I remember the days that
How we use to travel
From Alwar to Delhi.
And moved our dogs
From one posting to another.
 Its traveled a lot
In these past 13 years.
 ***
From to Alwar to Jammu,
To Nasirabad and Hyderabad,
And Assam and then Allahabad
Now back to Alwar it shall go
The place where we bought it long time ago.
***
Learning driving at the age of 18
It’s me and my WagonR
Driving down to the driving school
And then returning back
There’s not a moment now
That I don’t miss my friend, my WagonR.
 ***
Now my dogs are old
And need more space to stretch
And we move yet again
On our posting next.
A new car; an SUV my parents bought
And pushed my WagonR out in the cold.
 ***
Now my darling stands in open
Covered; gone  is the comfort of the garage.
But to its last breath
I shall use; As none can replace
The attachment that I have
With my old, yellow WagonR.

Be Yourself

just-be-yourself

By-Rishika Ghai

Everyone is different
Don’t  judge them by their status symbol
Status it doesn’t matter at all
What matters, what counts, is the inner beauty
And simplicity of a person.
So be what you are.

***

Who you are, your color, your religion
Or from which background you belong
Are immaterial. Don’t copy. Be original
Rich, middle class, lower middle class, or poor
That’s got nothing to do with your soul
So just be what you are.

***

Do not compare
Instead be grateful for what you have
Do not regret
Other person might not even have
What you don’t value but you have.
So just be what you are.

***

Never apologies for something that you didn’t do.
Don’t bend backwards to please others.
Be simple. Love yourself.
Respect yourself.
Value yourself.
And just be what you are.
